About me Kuzuzangpola (Greetings from Bhutan),

I’m Tshering Dendup but people here call me Lambu(Tall). I am from Lhuntse and grew up in eastern part of Bhutan and lived there most of my schooling years before moving to Thimphu (capital city of Bhutan).

Other than the international languages like Nepali, Hindi and English, I speak most of the local languages and dialect in my country. I am more kind of sport and adventure lover. And indeed I love interacting and learning about the different cultural from different part of the world.

After graduating from Jigme Sherubling Higher Secondary School, I worked as trekking crew with various tour operators for few years, there after generating the passion for becoming Tour Guide and in 2013 I accrued my guiding license in “Cultural and Trekking” and worked as a freelance guide with many tour operators in Bhutan.

In 2015 My journey with Druk Asia Tours and Treks and All Bhutan Connection Private Limited started as a freelance guide and in 2017 I signed up as a full time guide with the esteem company but unfortunately we are displaced due to the world pandemic.

I have undergone many training such as Gross National Happiness, First Add, Mountain and River Search and Rescue, Advance Tour Guide, Flora and Fauna, Buddhist Iconography, Mountain Biking, Photography, etc… within the country to be a better “Ambassador” of my country for my clients from different part of the world.

As a guide I am not a specialist in particular field but as a general I have many exceptional qualities to satisfy my clients as a Cultural and Trekking guide.
Knowing the fact that I am Bhutanese from the land of Happiness, making my clients feel the Happiness is my main priority.

Other than Guiding, I am a Desuup (Volunteer) as the guardian of peace as it means. I had the opportunity to serve my King, Country and the People in unhealthy times like pandemic and natural disasters. As a Desuup, I am trained on Basic Military Trainings, Special Refreshers Course, Search and Rescue, Desuup Plus, Crowd Controling and many relevant skills that a volunteer should have.

Withstanding the love and passion for what I am doing by profession, I am a jolly person who have got many things to share about my country and it’s cultural. And indeed if you want to hear it from me as your guide and you as my Client, we well come you to this “MYSTERIOUS WORLD OF HAPPINESS”.

Never BE BAD, Never Be Sad.
See you all.

Dear Namgay,

Now we're back in Singapore, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for organising our trip to Bhutan. We had an excellent week exploring your beautiful and fascinating country. Both the driver and our guide Tshering took care of us four to every detail and every minute. They were excellent with our kids: Tshering even took it as a personal challenge that our daugther Caroline made it to Tiger's nest! They were unseparable during the whole trip.

Many thanks again and we will definitely recommend Drukasia to everybody!

Kind Regards,

Sander de Wit

It's been a great experience organizing our very first trip to Bhutan with DrukAsia.

Our pre-trip arrangements were handled by Sonam Younten who is ever so efficient, responsive, prompt and patient in providing us with lots of information to our questions and preparing us well for the trip.

During our stay in Bhutan, we also had an awesome guide, Tshering Dendup who took lots of effort to share with us the history and culture of places we visited through his great story telling style. He is always punctual and ensures that we eat, drink and rest well so we could be in our most adventurous streak of "when in Bhutan, do as the Bhutanese do."

Jamyang, our driver is also super skillful in navigating through the rough terrains and bumpy roads, all at the same time having to ensure our safety and making us feel comfortable during the sometimes longer journey in the car. He is jovial and together with Tshering, never fails to make us laugh with their stories and jokes.

We would highly recommend anyone who wants to visit Bhutan to book your travels with DrukAsia as we have experienced a great team that keeps very connected so that the experience of their customers who travel with them will be seamless. Thank you, Sonam, Tshering, Jamyang and your team @ DrukAsia!

Hoping to be able to visit Bhutan again very soon!

Hi Sonam!

We have enjoyed ourselves during the trip. Our guide and driver have been very professional and tried to make our stay as fun as possible. Our guide introduced us to local book stores for books written by local Writers and local clubs. One of the drivers was so generous that he invited us to his home so that we can experience how a local house looks like.

We met other tourists along the way and our guides are very friendly so we were able to mingle and got to know more people. It has been an enriching experience to find out so much about Bhutanese cultures when our guides were so enthusiastic in sharing.

A slight suggestion is to make sure the vehicle is fully functional especially when the tourists have to travel to the villages/ valleys. We experienced vehicle broke down twice (same car). While the itinerary was delayed, we were lucky that there are no major accidents and the weather was fine. We also noted that our guide and driver tried their best during such incidents.

Best regards,
Miaoyi Lim

Dear Sangay,

Follow my review and some pictures:

The tour was great since the beginning, with the amazing spiral landing so close to the mountains at the Paro airport! During the whole trip the landscape was astonishing and it's quite admirable how the cities are so integrated to nature! And Tshering and Ugyen, they were not only great guide and driver, but also great trip mates, I really enjoyed their company, and we even had some fun at the Bhutanese night-life! So guys, thank you very much, hope to see you again!
