About me Introduction

Having grown up in the village and knowing the farming is indispensable. So after completions of my high school I have been to many treks as a helper to the trekking chef. From every trek, I have known the importance of tour guide more and more because s/he represents the country and tells the stories of rich tradition. which ultimately sells the country to outsiders. However doing tour guide training ain’t at bay cos I have to bear the course fee and my daily expenses. And I waited until 2017. By then I have earned a handful of amount. After the tour guide training, it took me some months to get tour but All Bhutan Connection and Druk Asia was a blessing in disguise.
From the day I was fully engaged, I even learnt the unknown things and connected around the globe through tourism. Tourism not only benefited me monetarily but also internally (knowledge). Just after enjoying the taste, tourism was shut down by Covid-19 which was like taking off the breed and butter from innocent animals. Neither me nor others who were working in the sector left idle. Fortunately our king started with Kidu. Thank god! Am survived because of His Majesty. Now am hoping for better new days ahead.

I just got back from Bhutan and my heart is still there. It was a special trip!

From the start of the email that I sent to Druk Asia (Ugyen Dema is the person I’m communicating with) I already can feel the warm of Bhutanese hospitality. They are well organized. And always looked after me from the 1st day of my arrival until the very last day of my trip. They tailored my trip according to my needs and requests and it couldn't have been a better way to explore this wonderful country that is Bhutan.

Tashi, my guide, was fantastic. Not only he is very professional but he is also really friendly and he made sure that I am spending a good time in his country. He is very knowledgeable, has a great sense of humour and he is passionate about his country and its culture. I learnt so much about Bhutan but also Budddhism in general. My driver, Dechen Wangdi, was equally professional and friendly and looked after me very well too. He is an excellent and careful driver. The roads weren't always the best to drive on but he did his best to make sure it was always a pleasant journey for me.

The hotels I stayed at were comfortable, clean and friendly.

Bhutan itself is an amazing country with a unique and fascinating culture. I really felt that I was visitors and guests rather than tourists. The price you have to pay may seem like a lot but I found it was very good value for money as you get to experience a unique and wonderful country. It is worth every penny!

If/When I come back to Bhutan to explore other parts of the country, I will certainly use this company, request for the same guide & driver again. Thank you Druk Asia for a wonderful experience.
